We reflect a small amount of light from the source, so that a darkness engulfed, dying world may see, and realize they are on the ground, groping the rocks for something it cannot give them, and see they need the light, and it is their one, true desire to have its never dimming, never tiring warmth within their dying body.


I experimented with so much in this one! The lighting is messed up in many, many different parts. The shadows are very badly done around the darkness-emitting lantern, because I really wasn't sure where they would go, therefore it is a mess of shadows. The background was very, very confusing and I don't think it turned out the best.

I'm not too familiar with this sort of thing, but I very much like it!

I like the shading on her dress and skin, and the way the lantern shines. I love the images you chose for the bg-the tree seems very fitting. The message is stunning too, of course..The light of in the distance is a wonderful sign of hope. Interesting how the streetlamp(the artificial light) is completely dark...I could go on and on about this picture. ^^; But anyway, I love it.

So true. God always keeps it in reach for us, so when we need it, even if we tried to throw it away, it's still there for us.

Oftenly, people who aren't experienced in something can admire pieces better than those who do have "experience". People who don't know much can enjoy the message more, because they aren't picking it apart, naturally critiquing it.

Thank you, I was concerned about the tree. Yes, I think God gave this piece a small bit of a message. Thank you so much, I'm very happy that you like it.
He certainly did, with this. I can't make things like this on my own! :glomp:
